My Wedding Design Process: Phase I
Lately, as I’ve gotten deeper into the wedding industry and as I’ve been running my business full-time, I’ve found a lot of nuances between the services that wedding professionals offer, especially wedding planners. There is an unpopular opinion I have and couples, please hear me out. Here it goes: NOT ALL WEDDING PLANNERS ARE DESIGNERS OR KNOW HOW TO DESIGN.
This may be an unpopular opinion but it is one that I stand by. So get you a wedding planner who is also a designer or get a wedding designer who can bring your vision to life (aesthetically).
P.S. If you want to know the difference between a wedding planner and a designer, read this post here!
In case you’re new here, I welcome you into the world of EverBe Creatives, a wedding design and planning studio.
You see how I said wedding design first? Yes, that is because I am a designer first before planning. I love the art of curating experiences and creating dreamy and beautiful weddings for my clients. If you’re in the beginning stages of planning your wedding and want to add wedding design to your vendor team, this is for you!
Here is a peak into my design process:
MY DESIGN PROCESS: PHASE I
DISCOVERY CALL
Discovery calls are essential to the success of my process. I encourage all potential clients to get on a call with me even if it’s a phone call. This is how I get to know you and your wedding desires. This is when we get to meet virtually to see if we’re a good match for each other. I love discovery calls because they’re such a chill way to get to know you without all the nerves.
PROPOSAL CONTRACT + RETAINER
If we’re a perfect match following the discovery call, then I’ll send over the proposal which includes the proposal, the contract, and the retainer (the invoice for the deposit). This proposal and contract will outline the scope of services, and what to expect when we work together- essentially it outlines the details of the wedding design services.
That is it for phase I of my wedding design process! I hope this gives you an idea of what to expect when working with EverBe Creatives. My goal is to simplify and provide a world-class client experience for you. This is a three-part blog series so stay tuned for the posts outlining the next two phases.
If you’re just starting wedding planning, or are looking for a wedding designer, don’t hesitate to reach out and book that discovery call.
